The Ryzer Go: Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we hear most about the Ryzer Go. If you don't see yours here, reach out and we will help.

Fit & compatibility

Will the Ryzer Go fit my bag?

Measure the loaded bag front to back at the base. The 7" depth fits measurements from 5.5" to 9.5". The 9" depth fits 8.5" to 12". Bags in the 8.5" to 9.5" overlap can use either size. Bag type does not determine depth, except that Mojoh recommends the 9" depth for disc golf bags. Both options fit bags roughly 10 to 16 inches wide and hold up to 50 lbs. See the Bag Fit guide, or email mojoh@mojohgear.com for help.

How does the Ryzer Go attach to my bag?

The Ryzer Go includes hooks, clamps, and heavy-duty hardware so you can choose the mounting setup that fits your bag. The clamp system uses the same technology as retail clothing security tags, with finger-release backing locks. Clamp pins create tiny pin holes.

Once attached, it stays with your bag. The mounting hardware bears the weight of the Ryzer Go itself, about 2.4 lbs, rather than the full weight of your gear.

For bags with vertical MOLLE or low D-rings, add the separate MOLLE & D-Ring Set with G-hooks and long straps.

Size & specs

How much does it weigh?

The Ryzer Go weighs about 2.4 lb.

How high does it lift my bag?

The spring-loaded legs lift your bag about 13.7 inches off the ground. With the optional Compact Legs, the raised height is about 10.7 inches.

How much weight will it hold?

The recommended maximum bag weight is 50 lbs.

Can I use it as a seat?

No. The Ryzer Go is not designed to be used as a seat. It is built to hold and elevate your bag, not to support a person's body weight. Please do not sit, stand, or lean your full weight on it.

Using it

How do the legs open and close?

Twist the handle to open the spring-loaded legs. Carry the Ryzer Go open in landing mode, or manually fold both legs flat when you want a compact setup for storage or tight spaces.

How should I place it on uneven ground?

The tripod legs provide a solid base to work on uneven ground. Choose a firm placement and keep the stand clear of traffic.

Can I set it on the ground while it is closed?

Absolutely, no problem. It folds flat and can rest on the ground in its closed position.

Travel

Can I travel with it?

The Ryzer Go is designed for travel bags and backpacks, but there is one important step: when traveling with the Ryzer Go attached, use the included bungee leg lock to help prevent accidental leg deployment.

For overhead bin storage, use the bungee leg lock before placing your bag overhead to help prevent the legs from opening when you remove your bag from the bin. When checking a bag with the Ryzer Go attached, use the bungee leg lock as well to help prevent accidental leg deployment while the bag is handled during travel.

The bungee leg lock wraps around the back pad for convenient storage when not in use. For the lowest-profile travel setup, consider the Compact Legs add-on, because the legs stay within the frame when closed and do not extend past the Ryzer Go frame. Check your airline and security provider's current baggage rules before traveling.

Legs & accessories

What are the Compact Legs?

The Compact Legs are an optional add-on designed for travel, tighter spaces, and smaller carry setups.

They keep the legs within the frame when closed and reduce the footprint when the legs are open. They also lower the raised height by about 3 inches, bringing the stand height to about 10.7 inches.

Your bag will still be elevated, more accessible, and off the floor, but the setup is more compact and travel friendly.

How do I change the legs?

The Ryzer Go is designed so you can switch between the standard legs and the Compact Legs depending on how you plan to use it.

Changing the legs is simple: remove one screw, pull the leg out, slide the other leg in, put the screw back in, and you are done. Use the standard legs when you want maximum height, then swap to the Compact Legs for a smaller, more travel-friendly setup. Step-by-step instructions and videos are also provided.
